Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information HD Image Enhancer ("we", "us") collects when you use https://hdimageenhancer.com (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. We built the Service so it works without an account, and we try to collect as little as possible.
By using the Service you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
The short version
- No account required. We do not ask for your name, email address or password to enhance a photo.
- Your photos are only used to produce your result. Uploaded and enhanced images are deleted automatically within 24 hours and are never used to train AI models.
- We do not store your raw IP address for quotas. Free daily credits are tracked with a random cookie ID and a keyed, one-way hash of your IP address.
- We do not sell your personal information.
Information we collect
Images you upload
When you upload a photo (JPG, PNG, WEBP or HEIC, up to 25 MB), we receive the image file, its file name, size and format. We then create an enhanced version of that image. Both files are processed only to deliver the result back to you.
Anonymous usage identifiers
To give every visitor 20 free credits per day and prevent abuse, we set a cookie named ih_anon containing a randomly generated ID. We also compute a keyed one-way hash (HMAC-SHA-256) of your IP address. Only the hash — never the raw IP address — is saved in our credit database, together with the number of credits used on each UTC day and the ID of each enhancement job.
Technical and log data
Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure automatically records technical information about requests, such as IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, referring URL, timestamps and error details. We use this data to keep the Service secure, enforce rate limits and fix problems.
Analytics
On our production website we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Service, for example which pages are visited and how people arrive on the site. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser details. We do not send your images to Google Analytics.
Information you send us
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message.
How we use information
- To upload, process, enhance and return your images.
- To track free daily credits and reset them at 00:00 UTC.
- To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, automated traffic and attempts to bypass usage limits.
- To monitor, maintain, debug and improve the performance and reliability of the Service.
- To understand aggregate usage so we can improve the product.
- To respond to your questions and requests.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not use your uploaded images or enhanced results to train, fine-tune or evaluate AI models, and we do not look at your images except where strictly necessary to investigate a technical problem, abuse report or legal request.
How your images are handled
- Your image is sent to us over an encrypted HTTPS connection.
- It is stored temporarily in private cloud storage under a randomly generated path.
- It is sent to our AI inference provider, which runs the enhancement model on our behalf and returns the enhanced image.
- The enhanced image is stored temporarily so you can preview and download it through a link that cannot be guessed.
- Uploaded images, enhanced images and their processing records are deleted automatically within 24 hours of upload. Please download your result before then.
How we share information
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Service, and only as needed for them to perform their work:

We may also disclose information if required by law, to respond to valid legal process, to protect the rights, safety and property of our users or the public, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this Policy will continue to apply to the transferred information.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the ih_anon cookie, the enhancement tool may not work correctly. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Data retention
- Images: uploaded images, enhanced images and their processing records are deleted automatically within 24 hours of upload.
- Credit records: anonymous credit usage records (cookie ID, IP hash, daily usage and job IDs) are kept only as long as needed to enforce daily limits of 20 credits per browser and 60 credits per network, and to prevent abuse.
- Logs and analytics: retained according to the standard retention settings of our hosting and analytics providers.
- Emails: kept for as long as needed to handle your request.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including HTTPS encryption in transit, private storage, unguessable file paths, access-restricted databases and keyed hashing of IP addresses. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and California, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
Because the Service does not use accounts, we usually cannot link data to a specific person. To help us find your data, include details such as the approximate date and time of your upload when you write to support@hdimageenhancer.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the enhancement you request), legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention and improving the Service), and consent where required by law (for example, for analytics cookies in some regions).
International data transfers
Our service providers may process information in countries other than the one you live in, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses for these transfers.
Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@hdimageenhancer.com and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are material, we will provide a more prominent notice on the website.
